Dawn was wonderful to work with! The home buying process is not easy but she was there each step of the way to keep us on track, answer our questions, and provide professional insight. We are so happy with our home purchase and would highly recommend Dawn to our friends and family.

Firstly, Dawn treated my initial contact and request for information on suitable 1031 exchange properties on Oahu, WITH RESPECT. Dawn listened intently to our requirements, and asked relevant questions. My story could easily have been discounted (I live in Australia, and was searching on behalf of my elder mother's LLC, had a fast-approaching deadline, and mum lives on Maui) or even discarded my request in the 'too hard' basket. Secondly, Dawn emailed relevant information immediately, for our consideration. Next, we focused on a property on another island, not listed by Dawn. After realizing our mistake, I re-contacted Dawn late on a Friday afternoon, and told her that we now had a 2 week deadline to identify suitable properties on the 1031 exchange. Again, Dawn could have discounted our intent, but instead listened as I debriefed about the unprofessional manner in which 'other island' the agent had behaved. She reassured me of her professionalism, and then she immediately contacted the seller's agent to check the status of the warehouses she'd previously told us about, then arranged for a video Skype session on the following Tuesday at a time suitable to me in Australia! Not only was she able to show me all 3 of the warehouse units in that 30 min Skype video, in great detail, she recommended a commercial inspector and Trust company to manage the transfer of the title. From the listing information and the Skype video, we were able to make an immediate offer on a warehouse unit. Our preferred unit already had an accepted offer, and we indicated our preference, if that sale did not proceed. During the purchase, Dawn was in constant contact - forwarding relevant emails, providing up-to-the-minute data and information. Many times, Dawn took calls from our lawyer, who had some concerns over the finer points, and Dawn was always able to graciously provide the requested information, sometimes within just a few minutes. We elected to close 2 weeks earlier than stipulated in the contract. Dawn immediately informed all relevant persons and it all went very smoothly. At one point, I became frustrated with one aspect of the process, and Dawn listened to my concerns, allaying my fears, and then took action to ensure that my concerns were addressed. She did not buy into my emotional 'baggage', which was exactly the right response at the time. We have not yet seen the warehouse, in person, however, Dawn has kindly offered to collect mum and I from the HNL airport on Friday February 16th and take us to see it, and then will drop us back at the airport so we can return to Maui. Now, THAT is Service which is above and beyond!! To summarize, Dawn epitomizes the ideal real estate agent. In no particular order, Dawn: is easily contactable; is willing to return calls; is respectful; is calm; is gracious, as if you are special guest in her home; is professional; is pro-active, giving us notice of what to expect next; is well-connected to an exceptional network of other professional people; interacts well with others from various companies and government departments; has a comprehensive understanding of the market and the purchase process, and is able to convey that to the uninitiated in an understandable way; is emotionally intelligent; is an excellent listener; provides relevant and timely information; is in constant contact, even on weekends and late at night; is generous; is knowledgeable; trusts her clients to do the right thing (ie not suspicious) is kind; and above all an exceptional human being.
